2015: Day 301

Last weekend while home I received this early birthday present from my mom. It is an old copy of one of my favorite books from childhood.
I always loved this book because the family seemed realistic and lifelike.
Thank you mom! :D

2015: Day 300

Rainy days and homework nights with my best cat buddy.

2015: Day 299

2015: Day 298

Kittens grow up so fast. One minute you are driving them home for the first time and the next they are knocking things off of your shelves and trying on your jewelry without asking.

2015: Day 297

Today I met my childhood hero, Daniel Handler, a word which here means Lemony Snicket.

I wasn't sure how to pose for the picture. "I don't know what to do," I said to him. "That's what I've been saying my whole life," he replied.

2015: Day 296

Day two of the ILA conference and I got to meet three members of my ALA Spectrum cohort. They are all wonderful people and I am honored and excited to have them as my future colleagues (as my professors would say).

2015: Day 295

The morning of my first library conference I woke up sick. I thought I could tough through it, but it only got worse as the day went on and I had to go home early. I did, however, have time to make this catapult.

2015: Day 292

It took me forever to leave Bloomington.
Grad school is the first time I have ever had to miss my family.
I know that Robin misses them too.

2015: Day 290

Our movie marathon day had a rough start when tickets to Totoro were sold out. This was supposed to be a sadface picture but Jacob couldn't stop laughing.

2015: Day 289

We are having a sleepover!!

2015: Day 288

Oh, hello there Bloomington.

2015: Day 287

Rule number one of being an adult: it is okay to make yourself dollar store mozzarella sticks at 11:30 at night. Your paper is almost done. You deserve this, friend.

2015: Day 286

Today I came home from class to find a letter waiting from my friend Noura. I had no idea that it was coming and it was a wonderful surprise. The highlight of my week so far. :)

2015: Day 283

Today I went on a student group planned trip to an apple orchard. It was a classic fall day with warmer-than-normal fall weather. It was also a fun time.

2015: Day 282

Robin and her pal/nemesis, Giraffe.
I have a new game where I stick Giraffe somewhere on her cat tree and then watch Robin's eye twitch before she runs up to forcibly remove the intruder with her teeth. It's a good time.

2015: Day 281

Today an Uber fairy passed me on the street and handed me this card. If you find yourself in need of ride this weekend you know who to call!

2015: Day 280

Listen friends, this is the identical twin brother of the best mechanical pencil I have ever owned. All other pencils pale in comparison. Today I found this second one in a box and I almost cried with joy. Please, treat yourself to this glorious pencil.
Public service announcement complete.

2015: Day 274

A romantic moment between chocolate and I.
I found it in my backpack today. It is squishy and melted, but still good. Still good.
