2013: Day 332

I am thankful for so many things, including my disgusting turkey-liver eating boyfriend, hot apple cider, pumpkin pie with entirely too much whipped cream on it, getting to spend Thanksgiving with my boyfriend's wonderful family, and my own wonderful one back home who I miss and thank for letting me take a trip during a holiday. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. :)

Spent a large part of the day working on my Costuming renderings. Look, it's King Lear if King Lear was the head of a traveling Carnival in the 1930s but used to be a performer himself and was also missing an arm!

We went to two movies tonight, Enders Game and Catching Fire. Enders Game was pretty good, but Catching Fire was incredible. So, so good. (Thank you to Jake's parents for everything today.)

2013: Day 326

I was walking on campus this morning when I found an injured squirrel hiding under a car. My boyfriend and I, along with a kind stranger who stopped by to help, chased the little guy around for about an hour and finally got him into a box. Jake and I drove to our local wildlife rescue center, feeling pretty proud of ourselves, but when we got there they let us know that the poor little guy had broken his back and wasn't going to make it. I was really very upset, but it is nice to know that he did not spend his last hours shivering under a care, but in a warm safe place where he could be cared for. I am thankful, silly as it may be, that I got to spend that hour and a half with that little guy today.

Despite being quite sick, and skipping all of my classes because of that fact, I got a lot done today, homework wise. You go sick Jennifer.

The delicious Tres Leches cake that my mom made me for my birthday. It was a very good and relaxing one. Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes. :)

I played around with watercolors and practiced for my Costuming rendering assignment. Not the best, but also not too bad for a quick try. :3

It is just before 4 in the morning and my Theatre History research paper is finally complete and printed. Success! :)

This morning, as I was stopped at a red light, this little leaf paused on my windshield briefly before flying off again in a gust of wind. 

It was such a nice small thing to get to take this photo of it before it went on its way. And it spoke, I think, of more nice things to come later in the day. :)

Jake and I finally got to celebrate Halloween a little at the Chicago/Rocky Horror cast party. We went as Ramona Flowers and Scott Pilgrim.

I feel lucky to have spent this week working with the best wardrobe crew ever. Tonight my wardrobe supervisor Chris styled this wig for me for Halloween, and then we took pictures. ^_^
