Waking up in the morning, fixing my bed, I was struck with a bizarre jealousy for these two. 

They get to stay in bed. in the warm blankets, while I go to class.

10 years ago today a 9 year old girl watched, on the television set at her grandfather's house, as thousands of people died right in front of her. And she tried so hard to understand. 

I still don't understand. 

I'm not a patriotic person, and I could say a million things in reference to how I feel about this day. But I won't. Instead I will remember all the people that I never knew, and that I never will get a chance to know. The ones that died on this day, and in the war that followed. On both sides.
