2014: Day 180

Some (approximately) 30-year-old bubble gum from an old pack of trading cards. Smelled like dust. Think it is still good? (Haha)

2014: Day 179

For yesterday: Jake and I rescued some more baby birds. These ones had been washed out of their nest by the rain. Here Jake is, using a ladder to return the birds to their nest and then strengthening it with some well placed sticks. 

2014: Day 178

On my way back from getting food I found this tiny guy hopping around on the ground. I picked him up to get him some help, but after calling my local wildlife rescue center I discovered that he is a fledgling and he didn't need my help at all. He was just bouncing around a bit until he fully learns to fly. It was nice to get to hold him though; I think he felt safe with me because he sat on my hand for a bit after I freed him. 

(Disclaimer: "He" could definitely have been a girl.)

After growing my eyebrows out for two months to repair the overzealous tweezing of my youth, and in an attempt to look more professional, I went to get my eyebrows done for the first time ever. Such a bad decision. Shaped eyebrows are apparently not for me; I look like a creepy doll, not a real person. 
Thank goodness for eyebrow pencils and bangs as I make the long road back to attractiveness. O.O

My picture for today is an Instagram selfie because I spent the afternoon with Kate and we bought hair chalk together and hair chalk is awesome. (And so is Kate.) Yes. :)
